American Civil War cover mailed from Washington, D.C. on May 22, 1865, (after Lee's surrender), Class B. Addressed to Thomas C. Trombs, Point Lookout, MD. Marked "Prisoner of War." Examined by censor on May 19, 1865. One U.S. Stamp affixed (Scott 65).
