The Smithsonian is the world’s largest museum complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. Eleven museums are located along the National Mall in Washington, D.C., six others and the Smithsonian’s National Zoo are nearby, two are in New York City, and two more are in the works.
Admission
Free admission at all Smithsonian museums except Cooper Hewitt in New York City.
Most museums are open every day of the year except December 25. Cooper Hewitt is open every day except Thanksgiving and December 25.

Passes/Tickets
Four museums require free entry passes or tickets:

All other locations do not use passes/tickets for general admission.
