Teapot with Lid
Object Details
- Artist
- Ragnar Naess, born Morristown, NJ 1942
- Luce Center Label
- Ragnar Naess’s small Teapot with Lid shows his careful technique of decorating the simple surfaces of his vessels. Parallel sections of incised lines feed from the top of the pot down to the middle. Naess hints at what the inside of the pot looks like by allowing a thin coat of white glaze to spill out of the spout and cover the tip.
