Object Details
- Description
- Tea jar: inverted pear shape with short wide neck and slightly flaring lip. Three lugs on shoulder.
- Clay: medium stoneware, fired glossy reddish brown. Five large stacking scars on base.
- Glaze: thick mottled olive green ash glaze (ameyu [Jpn]) with purple splashes flowing at random down from the shoulder, over all-over coating of iron-slip glaze (akadobe [Jpn]).
