Facsimile edition of British Library manuscript Sloane 4016, a medicinal herbal, consisting primarily of illustrations; manuscript produced in northern Italy, approximately around the year 1440. Facsimile volume has been reproduced from a copy which formerly belonged to Nicolas-Joseph Foucault.

Facsimile volume has leaves illustrated on both sides; the first 4 and last 3 leaves blank except for information added later to the manuscript (preliminary leaf 1a, preliminary leaf 4a and 4b) or to the published edition (notary sheet, on last leaf verso).

Commentary volume (issued in 2013) by Alain Touwaide.
Limited edition of 987 copies numbered in arabic numerals, with an additional 77 copies (not for sale) numbered in roman numerals.
