- This spring scene shows many visitors celebrating the cherry blossoms by picnicking on blankets and admiring the pink petals. The background just below the silhouette of Mt. Tsubuka is a rice paddy. The light grey shadows suggest young rice plants growing. This scene depicts land that will eventually become Japan’s first public park.
