- Description
- Landscape and atmosphere sketch showing a view of the sun rising over the mountainous landscape of Jamaica, likely the Blue Mountains. Steep and lush ridges recede from the foreground, through the middle distance, and into the background. Due to atmospheric perspective, they grow more faint as they recede into the distance. At center, the rising sun lies low in the sky and illuminates the atmosphere in warm tones of cream, peach, and orange, while the clear blue sky is visible at upper left and right.
