- Clock sits on footed base. At center, an oblong clock easel decorated with leaves, rosettes, wreath. "HOMERE / VIRGILE" written at center. Above dial are three books and a wreath. At left, on pedestal, a winged cupid plays a lyre. At right, on pedestal, a flaming candlestick with suspended lyre.
