- Description
- Brutus stands in profile in the right foreground over the dying Caesar to his left. Caesar shields his head with his tunic and lies before a classical statue representing Imperial Rome. A throng of angry senators are shown, with knives upraised and with fasces in the background. On the upper right, a plinth with S.P.Q.R. (in reverse) appears.
