Larry Zim, whose actual name was Larry Zimmerman, was an industrial designer, a historian of World's Fairs who wrote extensively on the subject, and a collector of World's Fair memorabilia.

Custodial History
The collection was bequeathed to the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, who transferred it to the Division of Community Life (now part of the Division of Cultural History), National Museum of American History in 1989. They transferred the archival component to the Archives Center in 1995.
