- Irene Jeruss is a landscape and marine artist. From 1999 to 2014, she worked as a professional photographer specializing in garden photography. Jeruss was also an essay and photography contributor to Photography Changes Everything, a book co-published by the Smithsonian Institution in 2012.

- Scope and Contents note: The Irene Jeruss Garden Photography Collection contains over 6,000 images of gardens, garden features, and flora photographed by garden photographer Irene Jeruss from 1996 to 2021. The images document dozens of private and public gardens in Connecticut, along with several in New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. Several gardens are accompanied by a file with written information such as notes, plant lists, garden plans, and magazine articles in which Irene Jeruss's images were published.
