- Scope and Contents
- Many of the letters are exchanges between Brooks and Ruth from the years preceding their marriage and continuing into the early 1950s. Examples exist where Brooks describes to Ruth his aerial combat experiences. Other correspondence, dating from World War I to the 1940s, features exchanges between Brooks and his mother, siblings and cousins living in Framingham, Massachusetts.
