Scope and Contents: This photograph was taken by Dr. Simon Ottenberg while conducting field research at Afikpo village-group, southeastern Nigeria, from January 30, 1988 to February 5, 1988.; Original caption reads, "Carvings by Oko Abagha. Two wooden canes. The one on the right says on it "Am Still Loyal" in white paint. These types of canes seem general to southeastern Nigeria and not particularly to Afikpo."
