Scope and Contents: Kimberley Diamond Miners, 1948. Photographic image of three miners standing side by side, in front of the shaft, wearing helmets with lights in the front. The man in the middle is holding a diamond he has found embedded in the hard "blue ground" that he was blasting. He has brought it up to the shaft to claim the reward he will receive from the mine manager. Photograph by Constance Stuart Larrabee, 1948.; There is one 8x10 black and white fiber-based print of this negative in the Constance Stuart Larrabee Collection. EEPA produced an 8x10 study print for reference purposes.
