- Camila Bryce LePorte (presenter); Suzanne Mathews-Williams; Vanessa Eugene; Norma Small-Warren; Kombo; Katumba ;Artists and leaders representing the Washington metro areas diverse and large Caribbean populations demonstrate their various dance traditions. They will discuss how these traditions have galvanized their English-, French-, Kreyol-, and Spanish-speaking communities and describe how these are informed by gender and generational relationships as well as socio-political concerns. This session is co-presented with the D.C. Caribbean Collective.
