- Scope and Contents
- This folder contains a partially filled scrapbook featuring photographs of unidentified Native American peoples. The photographer is unidentified. The photographs in this folder include several images from an unidentified powwow found in the collection. However, some of them are visually similar to those taken by Gertrude Prokosch Kurath, Ellen Kurath, Marius Barbeau, and Maiteland R. Lamotte, and used for the liner notes of the Folkways album Songs and Dances of the Great Lake Indians (FE 4003, FW04003). Due to this similarity, some of the photographs may be of either the Lac du Flambeau Festival Grounds in Wisconsin or the Meskwaki Festival in Iowa, with both locations having been cited in the FE 4003 liner notes.
