- Biographical / Historical
- The K-Food Korean Cooking Competition is open to Korean food enthusiasts from the Washington, DC area. Four 2021 finalists were chosen from a group of culinary students and amateur chefs who had submitted applications. Contestants had 45 minutes to create a Korean dish using only the ingredients provided and including the star ingredient, kimchi (traditional Korean fermented vegetables). The event was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, the Korean Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation, and the Korean Food Promotion Institution.
