- General
- The Berlin Palace, also known as the City Palace, was heavily damaged by Allied bombing during World War II. It was demolished by the East German government in the 1950s and a new building constructed on the site. Subsequent to German reunification this building was demolished and yet another new one constructed, this incarnation built to replicate the appearance of the original palace.
