Object Details

General: Other images of the garden, such as MD070003 and MD070006, show a different stage of its development. In these there are no pergola, sundial, circular birdbath, or office building beyond the pergola (all features of Sears' design and image MD070032). There are differences in plant material as well. The implications of this for image dating are intriguing, perhaps indicating that installation of various design elements occurred over a number of years.
