Syosset -- Warner Garden
Object Details
- General
- Alice Recknagel Ireys designed the landscaping around this Cape Cod style home in a woodland setting. Photographs, plant lists, and designs for several features were included in Ireys' 1967 book. A small flagstone terrace provided space for outdoor living adjacent to the lawn and was ornamented by a climbing rose and wisteria. Pink azaleas and a white dogwood lined the home's front entrance. A hemlock hedge at the side of the house masked the garage courtyard from view of the flagstone terrace.
