- Photographs in this series depict mostly artwork of gallery inventory, and a smaller amount of non-gallery artwork. Filed within the gallery inventory photographs are also photographs of installations, and occasional correspondence related to particular images. Provenance, sales, and exhibition records found interfiled with related photographs have been left in place. Also found are twenty-seven folders of photographs of artists. Most of the photographs are black and white and many are filed along with slides or transparencies.
- Collection Restrictions
- This collection, with the exception of Series 2, is open for research. Access to original papers requires an appointment and is limited to the Archives' Washington, D.C. Research Center. Series 2: Negatives, is temporarily closed to researchers due to archival processing and digitization. Contact Reference Services for more information.
