Description
Vertical format. Eight f. (2 pages); imprinted on front cover, cartoon-like bearded man and dog in vaudevillian poses moving right; man is white-bearded and wears green top hat, spats, and white gloves; dog is orange with white spots and dances on hind feet; four rows of theatre seats spread horizontally across bottom of design suggest a theater interior; imprinted across top of page: Master & Dog; imprinted inside front cover, lower left corner, publication information. Imprinted on inside pages, essay entitled "Affection's Claim" from "Man Needs Dog" by Konrad Lorenz, 1953; across last four pages, publication information along bottom of pages and starting on third page from end, one long blue dachshund dog facing left extended across three pages, with "Advertisements" imprinted across its torso. On back cover, black and white cartoon of beggar man and his dog standing on sidewalk, man holds cup and wears sign on chest: "God Bless You."
