Hello everyone. I am Dr. Jaqueline Góes, one of the scientists who sequenced the first SARS-CoV-2 genome upon its detection in Brazil February last year. The community of scientists had a really busy year working hard to develop vaccines so we can fight this pandemic. Although COVID-19 vaccines were developed quickly, all steps have been taken to ensure the safety and effectiveness, using science that has been around for decades. The only way to keep our families and communities safe is to getting vaccinated, so my best advice to you is get vaccinated.

Doctor Jaqueline Goes de Jesus is is a Brazilian scientist and researcher. She led the genome sequencing of Brazil's COVID-19 variant. She encourages everyone to keep their families and communities safe by getting vaccinated.
