Hello. My name is Dr. Chika Stacy Oriuwa, and I'm a resident physician here to encourage you to get your COVID-19 vaccine. We are currently living in a time of incredible uncertainty, and we're often wondering what is the best way to protect ourselves and those we love against this deadly virus. Well, one of the most important ways to protect yourself against the serious consequences of this illness is to get the vaccine.

The CDC states that the COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective in preventing serious illness and death. They also recommend that when it is your turn and when you are eligible, to get the vaccine as soon as possible. We've also seen that COVID has disproportionately impacted different communities, especially marginalized communities and communities of color. We're also seeing that these communities have lower vaccination uptake rates. I'm encouraging all of you, from any community, but especially these communities that have been disproportionately impacted, to please get the vaccine. It is safe, it'll protect you, and it'll protect those that you love. Let's band together and let's get through this. Thank you.
