- Congressman John Garamendi and his wife were both Peace Corps volunteers in the late 1960s. In this video of a discussion at the 2011 Festival, Garamendi describes how the community in which he was living in Ethiopia reacted to the assassinations of Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy.
