Summary
Full-length figure of a uniformed World War I soldier stands on a pedestal and tiered base. Uniform items include knee-length, laced-up boots, ammunition belt, cap and a crop or military stick, held horizontally in both hands behind the figure's back. There is a bas-relief on each side of the pedestal. The reliefs on the sides depict groups of soldiers and sailors. The relief on the front contains a female allegorical figure in Classical dress, holding a dove. She is flanked by soldiers. The relief on the rear depicts a uniformed soldier and sailor, each face inward and each blow a bugle. There are fish-like creatures on the base tiers.
