- Commemorative text plaque includes relief of the Statue of Liberty rising above a cityscape scene at the bottom. She represents freedom of expression and two planes (representing the future) fly over her head. At her feet, is a cityscape scene with a bridge and factories. In the foreground, four men are involved in mechanics and the sciences. Included is a man standing before a drafting table; another man standing before a printing press, and two men working with scientific apparatus.
