- Description
- Landscape study showing a view of a vibrant sunrise over Frenchman's Bay off the eastern coast of Mount Desert Island in Maine, specifically looking toward the Schoodic Peninsula from Schooner Head. In the foreground, small waves lap against semi-submerged rocks at lower right. In the middle distance at left, a rocky, wooded point of Schooner Head juts into the water. The rolling silhouette of Schoodic Peninsula stretches across the horizon in the background, with Schoodic Head prominently visible at right. Above, a massive red-tinged band of clouds stretches across a golden, sun-soaked sky with other cream and orange clouds.
