- Summary
- Bronze bas-relief plaque depicting a group of seven women dressed in World War I era costume. The woman on far left wears a military uniform of pants, belted jacket and hat. The next woman on the right wears a dress with a cape and a hat. She carries a basket over her proper left arm. Next to her, in the center of the plaque, is a group of three seated women. The center figure is on a raised dias and is an allegorical figure holding a tablet in her proper right hand and a torch in her proper left hand. Seated below the dias on her proper right is a woman in a World War I nursing uniform. Seated below the dias on her proper left is a woman in a long dress, knitting. To the right of the center group is a woman wearing an ankle-length dress and hat, carrying a hoe. On the far right of the plaque is a woman wearing slacks, a long-sleeved shirt and a cap. The plaque is mounted on the front face of a rough-hewn stone marker.
