Caption: This slide is part of a collection of 35mm slides encapsulating Robert Houston's full portfolio of images related to the Poor People's Campaign and the antipoverty protest camp on the National Mall. Known as "Resurrection City," the camp lasted for six weeks in the spring of 1968.
Description: This color slide depicts a crowd of men and women surrounding an open door at the back of a bus. Only the end of the blue and white bus is visible. Several figures can be seen inside through the windows. The men and women of the crowd stand facing the open door. Most of the individuals carry bags, blankets, and bundles in their arms. One individual, wearing blue pants and a checked shirt, holds a blue blanket on their head. The slide mount has text on the reverse that reads "processed by/ rogers color lab corp. / new york."
