- Donor Notes: "Rocky Boy Montana Star hand-pieced and hand-quilted king-size quilt (93" wide x 108" long). Unbleached [off-white] cotton ground with large eight-pointed center star in dark brown, med[ium] brown, khaki, gold and yellow diamonds. Four smaller stars in two shades of brown are in the corners. Dacron filled. Hand-stitched quilting primarily in circular designs with vertical and horizontal lines across the circles, and elongaged "drops" around the outside of the circles. Custom made by Agnes Parker and Mary Jane Henderson, Chippewa-Cree Crafts, Rocky Boy Reservation, Box Elder, Montana. Has original Chippewa-Crafts label 1968. Note: I have seen a number of these used as offerings on graves in the Rocky Boy cemetery."
- This "Montana star" pattern (an 8 pointed star made with rows of parallelograms) is also known as "morning star". Hand pieced.
