- Black and white newspaper advertisement for The Pullman Company featuring "A Pullman Captain and his Crew". The advertisement depicts a Pullman captain in the upper right corner looking down at a leather bound book he his holding. Below this image is a group of eight Pullman porters wearing their white uniforms and porter caps as well as one white man in a white uniform and no cap, probably a busboy, and one African American woman, dressed in a maid's uniform. This group of ten Pullman employees are surrounding a man wearing a Pullman conductor uniform and conductor cap with smiles on their faces. Below is a large two paragraph long piece of text that concludes with the following slogan: "Pullman and Rail - The safe way to go and the sure way to get there". On the back of the advertisement is the newspaper feature "Pictures to the Editor".
