- Summary
- Maj. Harold Evans Hartney was born in Pakenham Ontario, Canada April 19, 1888. He served as a pilot in 20 Squadron of the Royal Flying Corps. He later became commander of the 27th Aero Squadron, 1st Pursuit Group (U. S. Air Service). He had 7 aerial victories during World War I. He became a United States citizen in 1923. Died October 5, 1947 in Washington D.C.
