Object Details
- Summary
- This cardboard face mask of Wilma Deering, a character from the Buck Rogers comic strip, allowed young fans to pretend to be the spunky and adventurous heroine and love interest of the space-based adventure series. An earlier version of this mask, illustrated with curlier hair, was issued as a Cocomalt premium in 1933. This later version, manufactured in Japan, can be identified because the character is illustrated with straighter hair.
- Collector Michael O'Harro gave this mask to the Museum in 1993.
