Object Details
- Description
- This horse sits with head lowered to rest on its extended front legs. The hind legs also bend forward, while its thick tail sweeps to one side. Two small ears stand in low relief. The mane, swept all to one side, and tail are finely striated. The legs are executed in full-round, with hoofs carefully described. Its modelling is simple but sculptural, the short muzzle, legs, and modest physique suggesting a Mongolian pony.
