- This object is part of the Education and Outreach collection, some of which are in the Q?rius science education center and available to see.
- Fragment of fossilized eudicot leaf left in rock. It measures around 8.5 cm x 6.5 cm x 1.5 cm in size or less. The fossilized leaf shows evidence of hole feeding insect damage. Hole feeding is caused when an insect with chewing mouthparts eats through a portion of a leaf. The specific type of hole feeding is identified as damage type (DT) 02: medium-sized circular perforations, between 1 mm and 5 mm in maximum diameter.
