- The Fokker D.VII: WWI German Aerial Superiority
- Description
- The Fokker D.VII was created to recapture Germany’s aerial superiority over the Allied powers in World War I. Its unusual design - notably its stubby nose and thick wings - gave it great speed and maneuverability. The Fokker D.VII was so effective that the Armistice of Compiègne, the peace treaty that ended the war, required that all such aircraft be surrendered.
