- Description
- A costume design drawing by Judy Dearing for the character The Homeless Man in the musical revue Swinging on a Star. The drawing depicts a man standing with his left hand behind his back. He wears a grey newsboy cap, a light brown single-breasted coat with soiling and stain marks throughout over a white shirt, with a gray scarf around his neck. His loose-fitting pants are dark gray with soiling and stain marks, and are cuffed at the hem over his dark gray oxford shoes. He wears a brown fingerless glove on his right hand with ragged edges on the ends of the cut fingers. The man and his clothing are outlined in graphite with watercolor and unidentified pigment shading. The stamp for the United Scenic Artists Local 829 is in black ink in the lower left facing corner, with Dearing's signature in black ink below the stamp. The reverse is blank.
