Video Title
Celebrating 20 Years of the International Space Station
Description
NASA astronaut Sunita Williams has spent more than 321 days in space and completed seven spacewalks during two extended missions to the International Space Station (ISS). Now she is looking forward to returning to the ISS once again, this time launching aboard the Boeing CST-100 Starliner. Tune in Monday, November 2 at 8 pm ET to hear about her experiences and insights. Williams’ lecture will occur exactly 20 years to the day from the first day of human occupation of the ISS in 2000. The John H. Glenn Lecture in Space History is made possible by the generous support of Boeing: "Boeing is proud to continue our tradition of sponsoring the John H. Glenn Lecture on Space History. As a board member, I can attest to the value of this annual event on the National Air and Space Museum’s program calendar. Now more than ever, the ability to share this lecture globally can provide inspiration for all. Learning about our amazing accomplishments in space, reminds us we can overcome any adversity and accomplish remarkable achievements here at home. At Boeing that includes our rich heritage in space exploration and the event’s featured speaker is part of that history. From her extensive time on the International Space Station to joining the first crewed Boeing Starliner mission, Sunita Williams will continue to propel advancements in space exploration. I hope you’ll take some time to join this terrific event to learn more about Suni’s story and 20 years of success on the ISS. Stanley A. Deal Executive Vice President, The Boeing Company President and Chief Executive Officer, Boeing Commercial Airplanes
