- Carroza Solar, or "solar chariot," is an assemblage of different artistic materials and forms that evoke ribs, horns, and vertebrae as well as birds and the sun. This piece is reminiscent of a retablo, a small private devotional painting from Mexico and South America. It serves as a symbol of participatory ritual. The simple abstract forms and opulent color and light are designed to spark a dialogue between the piece and its audience.
