- Descriptive Entry
- This accession consists of two websites associated with the Encyclopedia of Life (EOL) as they existed on January 27, 2020. EOL is a global partnership between the scientific community and the general public to make freely available to anyone knowledge about all the world's organisms. The primary EOL website includes information about the partnership and provides scientific resources. Due to technical issues with the crawl, some features may not function as expected and content may not be complete. The website is maintained by the National Museum of Natural History. The Learning + Education Group website is EOL's gateway for educators, students, and enthusiasts worldwide. It includes tips for using the EOL website, model projects, instructions for activities, and other educational resources. The website is maintained by the Harvard University, Museum of Comparative Zoology. Materials are in electronic format.
