- Jacquette discusses her family and childhood; attending RISD; her vision problems; early work experience drafting and designing fabric; the evolution of her subject matter; attaining aerial views; pivotal paintings, including her night paintings; techniques and media; time spent in Maine; travels to Japan; working in other mediums including printmaking and fresco; her interest in dance, filmmaking, and poetry; the changing art market; women in art, and Buddhist meditation. She recalls her husband, filmmaker Rudy Burckhardt. She also recalls Edwin Denby; Janet Fish; Sylvia Mangold; Lois Dodd; Jane Freilicher; Alex Katz; Brooke Alexander; Red and Mimi Grooms, and others.
