- Accompanied by a typed letter signed from Martin Johnson to Donald Stillman, managing editor of the periodical, on personal stationery from Nairobi, British East Africa, 12 May 1930: "Now that my series of stories is finished in 'Forest & Stream' I wish to thank you for the excellent way you handled them ... I have received more letters of appreciation from these articles than from any other publication." These photographs comprise those submitted to the magazine "Forest & Stream."
