- A postscript to an autograph letter signed by Captain William Grant Stairs (1863-1892) to Alexander Mackay (1849-1890), the Scottish missionary whom Stanley called the second Livingstone, about the payment of seven named porters "who followed us to this place and did full work." Stanley also requests payment to two others, one "To the bearer of your books."
