Scope and Contents
This subseries includes photographic prints made in the Potosí region of Bolivia between 1947 and 1951. Although it is unclear when these prints were given to the museum by the Carters, Ernest arrived in Bolivia (still under the name Schickler) to work on expeditions in the Andes in 1947. He left the region to come to the United Sates in 1951. The photographs include landscape views and portraits shot in around the city of Potosí, Bolivia.
