The materials include certificates, autographs, memberships, banquet menus, invitations, calling cards, memorial resolutions, and other ephemera related primarily to Field's success at laying the transatlantic cable. Included is the publication Cyrus W. Field His Life and His Work, 1819-1892 written by Field's daughter, Isabella Field Judson in 1896.
