- Scope and Contents
- Consist of business transactions including receipts of payment for services, forms for obtaining copyrights, and a record book dating from 1959-1973. Performance programs for the American Club, Compiegne, France dating from 1942 and for concerts for artists such as Louis Armstrong are also included among these materials. Information relating to the music industry consist of composer workshops, competitions, and album cover designs. There are also materials relating to associations and organizations for musicians including the Societe des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Editeurs de Musique; American Guild of Authors and Composers; Associated Musicians of Greater New York; American Music Center, Incorporated; and American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. Documents created by these groups consist of songwriters confidential directories, association membership cards, and general information. In addition, there are composition notes, song lyrics, and discographies. Materials are arranged in chronological order.
