- Scope and Contents
- This series is arranged into four subseries: Subseries 4.1 Advertising, Subseries 4.2 Business, Subseries 4.3 Television, Theater, and Motion Pictures, Subseries 4.4 Ephemera and Advertisement, and Subseries 4.5 Publications. Within the subseries items are arranged alphabetically by company name or title. This series includes Spartacus and Damron bar guides, local guides, as well as selections from the "Fun Maps" series, bar ephemera, posters, drink tickets, and advertising cards. This series also includes catalogues for clothing and LGBT related merchandise. This series includes a complete set of the documents produced by the Department of Defense Comprehensive Review Working Group published in November 2010 on the results of the survey on the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT) policy prior to the repeal of DADT in December 2010. The series also includes material created by businesses targeting the LGBT community. See also Series 7 for additional publications.
- Collection Restrictions
- The collection is open for research use. Researchers must handle unprotected photographs with gloves. Researchers must use reference copies of audio-visual materials. When no reference copy exists, the Archives Center staff will produce reference copies on an "as needed" basis, as resources allow. Do not use original materials when available on reference video or audio tapes.
