- Primarily consists of images and a few diagrams created by the federal agency, the Bureau of Minds, documenting its work. Includes images relating to the process of mining, United States mines, buildings, workers, equipment, and the Knowles coke oven. Also, found among the materials are images of the bureau's director from 1910-1915 Dr. Joseph A. Holmes.
