- Scope and Contents
- This series documents through photographs and glass and film negatives document buildings, mines, machinery, homes, gardens, schoolchildren, miners, families, churches, schools and recreational facilities provided by the coal company. The series is arranged into five subseries: Subseries 2.1: Photograph Albums; Subseries 2.2: West Virginia Division; Subseries 2.3: Glass Plate and Film Negatives; Subseries 2.4: Numbered Photographs; and Subseries 2.5: Miscellaneous. While the West Virginia Division documents almost exclusively West Virginia mines, represented are mines from Kentucy and Pennsylvania.
